SLDA Annual Scientific Session 2024: Showcasing BISTEC Care’s Sustainable Healthcare Solution
BISTEC Care proudly participated in the Sri Lanka Dental Association's Annual Scientific Session held on October 19, 2024, at the Hotel Grand Kandyan in Kandy.
This year’s event focused on the theme "Integrating Science and Practice for Sustainable Excellence," highlighting the need for sustainable and innovative practices in healthcare to drive long-term impact while balancing environmental responsibility. The theme reflects the need to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application in dentistry, encouraging professionals to adopt innovative approaches that not only improve patient outcomes but also contribute to sustainable practices within the healthcare system.
In line with this theme, BISTEC Care automates various administrative tasks within clinics, effectively eliminating the need for physical documents and significantly reducing paper usage. Traditional clinic administration often involves managing extensive paperwork, including patient histories, appointment records, treatment details, receipts, and prescriptions. These processes can be inefficient and resource-intensive.
By streamlining these operations, BISTEC Care promotes sustainability while enhancing the efficiency of clinic practices. The software digitizes patient records and automates appointment scheduling, leading to a substantial decrease in paper usage. This transition not only supports environmentally friendly practices but also improves operational efficiency by minimizing the time spent on administrative tasks.
The Sri Lanka Dental Association (SLDA), established in 1932, serves as the national professional body for dental practitioners in Sri Lanka. With a mission to advance oral health, the SLDA focuses on promoting dental education, advocating for dental professionals, and enhancing standards of care across the country. The association organizes various events, including annual scientific sessions that provide a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among dental professionals.
The event attracted a diverse audience, with approximately 70% of attendees being doctors and 30% students from various universities. BISTEC Care's stall was a major draw, with around 70% of participants visiting to learn more about our innovative medical practice management software.
